Deadline for proposals: 13th March 2015

Postgraduates in Latin American Studies (PILAS), the postgraduate branch of the Society for Latin American Studies (SLAS), invites postgraduate researchers to debate and reflect on Latin America’s place in the world at the PILAS 2015 conference to be held at the University of Cambridge on 23rd and 24th June. The conference is free to attend. Updates and news about the PILAS conference 2015 will be posted on the PILAS conference website.

PILAS welcomes students to submit proposals for papers or posters relating to any aspect of their research and from within any discipline relevant to the broad field of Latin American studies. We encourage abstracts that engage with the conference’s main theme: ‘Latin America on the World Stage’, but would like to highlight that this theme is in no way restrictive and we look forward to receiving abstracts on a wide range of interdisciplinary topics related to postgraduate research on Latin America. We welcome papers from a variety of specialisms as we would like the conference to engage with as many perspectives on Latin America as possible.
